Paul Stephen Wilson, Sr., affectionally known as “Joey” went to his eternal rest on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Care One Rehabilitation Center, Wall, New Jersey. He was born on February 15, 1952 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey to Elizabeth Ann Wilson and Paul Stephens, Sr.
Paul was educated in the Red Bank, New Jersey public school system and graduated in 1970. He served in the Vietnam War and in 1977 he received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.
Paul worked many jobs during his lifetime mainly in the law enforcement field. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Monterey, CA. He also worked in security for Boscov Department Stores. He was last employed as a Lieutenant in the Department of Homeland Security stationed at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, New Jersey.
Paul was a very giving and thoughtful person. He was always going out of his way putting the needs of his family and others first. He had a great sense of humor and was often the life of the party.
Paul was predeceased by his parents; his sister Eileen Stephens-Madden and his former wife, Gail Wilson.
Paul is survived by his loving children, Paul Stephen Wilson, Jr. “P.J.” and his children, Marcus and Antwon Wilson and their mother, Brigette Allen; his daughter, Akeysha Blackstorm (William) and their children Kali, Caitlyn and Willy, Jr.; his siblings, Alan C. Stephens, Esq., Paula Stephens, Richard A. Stephens, and Dr. Paul Stephens, Jr.; his aunt, Juanita “Neets” Wilson; cousins, Janenne Holmes, Karen Pitts, Beverly Holland, Joanne Hebert, Mary Morrison, Lawrence Wilson, Jerome Wilson and Tiffaney Harris; Brother-in- Law Billy Frederick (Robin); Sister-in-Law Susan Gaspar (Carlos) and LaToya Jefferson who nick-named him “Blue Eyes” and was like a daughter; together with a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name.
