Ora Lee Kirksey Ingram was born on March 14, 1938 to Tillman and Minnie Kirksey in Clarke County Mississippi. She was called home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2020, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ.

Ora joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Quitman, MS, and accepted Christ as her savior at an early age.  She attended school in Clarke County and graduated from Shirley Owens High School in Quitman, MS.

After graduating high school, Ora moved to Westbury, NY, where she worked as a live-in nanny.  While living in Westbury, she met her husband to be, Lenzie Ingram.  They were married on January 2, 1965 in Freehold, NJ, and to this union three children were born.

After moving to New Jersey, Ora joined Second Baptist Church (now New Beginnings Agape Christian Center) where she faithfully served on the Usher Board, Nurse’s Unit, Kitchen Committee, Sewing Circle and Nursing Home Ministry until her health began to decline.

She worked at Lintex Linens in Freehold for many years.  After the company’s closing, she worked in retail before semi retiring in 1999.  During her semi retirement she babysat until fully retiring in 2007.

Ora was a beautiful person inside and out. She was blessed with a quiet strength, gentle spirit and an unshakeable faith in God which allowed her to live a life of peace and to face life’s challenges head on.   She was a great example of humility, walking by faith, unconditional love and putting complete trust in the Lord.  She loved attending church, her church family, bible study, reading the newspaper, baking and spending time with family – especially her grandchildren.  She was loved by all who knew her and life will never be the same without her.

Ora was predeceased by her parents, five brothers Jimmy Kirksey, Tillman Kirksey, Jr., Johnnie Kirksey, Fred Kirksey and Monroe Kirksey and two sisters Della Jordan and Joann Kirksey.

She leaves to lovingly cherish her memory her husband of 55 years, Lenzie Ingram, one son Erick Ingram, Freehold, NJ  two daughters Deborah Ingram, Freehold NJ  and Hope Ingram-Lewis (John) Howell NJ, one brother Edward Kirksey (Nancy) Hattiesburg, MS, two sisters Jerlean Kirksey, Quitman, MS, and Betty House (Percy) Jackson, MS, three brothers-in-law  Cleveland Ingram (Sharon) Riverdale, GA, Ronnie Ingram (Wendy) Freehold, NJ and Kenneth Ingram Asbury Park, NJ, four sisters-in-law, Pat Kirksey, New York, NY, Annie M “Peggy” Savage (James) Franklin, KY, Regina Fenn (Calvin) Fernandina Beach, FL, Talaya Ingram Neptune, NJ,  eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
