Jessie Francine Boykin-Thomas was born May 9th, 1951 to the late Lillian Ellena Queen and Eugene Everette Boone at Quantico, VA Naval Hospital in Prince William County, Virginia. Jessie moved from Virginia to New Jersey in 1962.
She attended Red Bank Public Schools and graduated in 1969. She also attended Wilfred Academy Cosmetology, School Of Hair. She was known for her fierce styling of finger waves. She met and married the late Paul Allan Thomas.
Jessie was the life of the party and a really good dancer. Her smile, Hazel green eyes, and presence would light up the room. Jessie was one to always tell it like it is. She loved to do puzzles, crochet, and tend to her plants in her garden.
She worked for H & R Block Red Bank, Red Bank Bates Lodge #220, Bizzarro’s Bar, and CoCo’s Bar {Bartender}, Fort Monmouth Maya Hall {Secretary}, and various other jobs. She was a member of Phyllis Wheatly Temple #276.
Jessie was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, Grandmother, and Friend. She was predeceased by her parents Lillian Harris and Eugene Boone. Her grandparents Sara Queen and Nathaniel Hughes. She was also predeceased by her siblingsConstance, Louise {Lu-Lu}, Eric {Tip-Toe}, and Geraldine {Ann}. Aunt Louise, and her 1st born son John Boykin {King}.
She leaves to cherish her memory her Children Aida Boykin, Allan Boykin, JePiera Boykin, and Leroy Thomas{Man-Man} Daughter in-laws Melissa Evans and Malikah Andrews, Special son- Ramon Maura, and special Aunt- Carol Hamm. Her Grandchildren Lionel-L.J.,Vencent, Shawn, Kahlil, Zyaire, Imera, Aiesha, Nyasia, Aimya, and Iyana, Great-grandchild Mariah, and Godson Eric Harris.
She also leaves her Siblings Laura Harris, Rosanna Whitlock-Cookie, Dorothy Norwood-Peaches, Nathaniel Harris-Nate, James Harris-Ronnie {Sabrina}, Gerald Freeman {Vicky}, Rodney Freeman, Robert Freeman {Debra}, Margaret Durham, Maude Freeman-Young, Deneise Perosky {Chuck}, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
