Gloria Boyd transitioned on Saturday February 27.  She was born in Fair Haven, Jersey.  She attended Fair haven schools and graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven High School.  After graduating from high School, she took a job as a clerk at New York Telephone.  She worked her way up the ranks and worked her way into several management positions.  She received several accommodations for excellent performance.  She retired from the telephone company after 37 years of service. 

Gloria was a highly active member of Saint Thomas episcopal church.  She served on the vestry as the financial secretary.  She was also a member of Saint Monica’s guild, as well as the alter guild.  She always arrived for church early on any Sunday to get things ready. 

Gloria loved to travel and enjoyed visiting the islands of the Caribbean. She was a lover of music, particularly jazz.  She had an extensive collection of records, cassettes, and CDs.

 Although she did not have any children of her own, she had several nieces and nephews that she loved greatly and treated very kindly.  She was a mother to all of them.  

Gloria had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke and a good laugh.  She always had a smile, and she was a positive influence on all that she met. Gloria always had a way of making people feel as if they were important and they mattered.   

Gloria is survived by Her sister Pat in Florida a brother also in Florida several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.   She will be deeply missed.
