Donna Lee Warren, 74, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey.
Donna was born to Lee Gusta James and Willa Heard on January 23, 1947, in Long Branch, New Jersey. She was raised in Red Bank and graduated from Red Bank High School in 1965.
She worked for First Atlantic Federal Credit Union as Loan Officer for 15 plus years as well as working for Shrewsbury Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church. After leaving the credit union, she worked as the Church Secretary full-time for 27 years until she retired in May 2021.
Donna was a spiritual woman who loved God, her family, church as well as helping and encouraging others. She was known for generosity, her sense of humor and infectious laugh.
She was a faithful member of the Shrewsbury Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church for over 38 years. She served as a Trustee, a Missionary, President of the Stewardess Ministry and member of the Finance Ministry. Donna also served as a Class Leader and President of the Deaconess Ministry until her passing.
She was predeceased by her mother Willa Heard; Father Lee Gusta James, her sister Deirdre Robinson, her brother Larry Heard, and Grandparents William & May Heard and her special Aunt Ruby N. Cosby.
She leaves to cherish her memory and Celebrate her Life, her beloved daughter Robin Lee Warren, Son-in-Law William L. Brown, sister Patricia Heard, brother Dennis James, Nieces Belinda Heard, Deondra Robinson and Nephew James Heard. She is also survived by a host of cousins, her special & long-time friend Grace Lena Austin and special friend & helper Lydia Marie Dove.
